ExoClick aligns banner advertising sizes with IAB standards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From February 2020, ExoClick is changing the maximum weight that it will accept from advertisers for all banner creatives to 150KB, this is to ensure that banner ads are aligned with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IABNewAdPortfolio_LW_FixedSizeSpec.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IAB\u2019s industry recommendations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as Google ones. This applies to ALL types of banners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Maximum Banner File Size Changes:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current Banner Maximum File Size: 1MB<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Banner Maximum File Size: 150KB<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Fullpage Interstitial Maximum File Size: 300KB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Please note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All existing campaigns will keep running normally for now, even if some banners are over 150KB. However, advertisers will NOT be allowed to upload new banners that exceed 150KB for new campaigns from February, except Fullpage Interstitial Maximum banners which have a maximum size of 300KB. Advertisers will be given until April 1st to update all their creatives, at which point, all banners over 150KB will be disabled from the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why is this important?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the recognized industry standard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Publishers are penalised in SEO rankings if their website is slow to load, a faster loading website means a higher SEO ranking which leads to more organic traffic that will see your ads and higher conversions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heavy banner ads negatively impact the user\/consumer experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lower banner weight = Faster load time = Higher CTR = Higher Conversions!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to ensure your creatives are 150KB<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Animated GIF banners are heavy files, therefore we recommend that you convert your\u00a0 GIFs into lower weighted MP4 files, this will also improve the quality of the creative shown. We recommend that you try <a href=\"https:\/\/convertio.co\/\">Convertio<\/a> which is a simple online convertor.
